"Dare to stand alone. Stand up for what is right, even if you stand alone."- Thomas S. Monson This quote means that we should stand up for what's right. If something is happening and it shouldn't be happing we should stand up and tell that person no. We should be able to help others stand in that way. To take the CTR path and not let others persuade them into doing something else. We all need to do the right thing. A video that our teacher showed us was that a girl didn't care what others though of her, she just wanted some friends and also she's choosing the CTR path.

" If I've got correct goals, and if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I'm going to succeed."- Dan Dierdorf This quote means that with the goals that we have we can achieve anything. If we keep writing our goals and succeeding them we can keep pursuing them and every thing  just comes together. When you do the right thing you will succeed. But if you do the wrong thing then you wont go anywhere. When you accomplish these goals you feel good and it feels like you accomplish something. Doing the right thing is as important than not doing the wrong thing, its good for your health and can help you live a better and a happier life. If people did the right thing as much as they did the wrong thing then their life and everyone else's life would be better and more successful.

" The most important thing you will ever have is good values."- Dennis Prager What Dennis Prager is saying is that the most important thing you will ever have is good things. That’s what should be important to you is to have good values. For example you should do things so your image can be shown as someone who has great values. If you don’t have good values then your image as a person will be different. It should be important to have great values. We should also always be thankful to have good values because some people don’t like using these values like great, helpful, and many more. I like to use values because you are making yourself have a good reputation for/to others. It’s also important to have good values because good values are what motivate people and it makes them who they are today to do good values and that’s what leads them to success. It shows the type of person you will become later on. Its what's going to help you.

"The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: Self-respect, dignity (self-worth), integrity, and self esteem."- Dr. Laura Schlessinger What this quote means is that doing the right thing only makes you a better person. It makes people look up to you to respect you and to have self-respect for yourself. I do not agree with this quote people do what they want to. Some doing the wrong thing makes them feel good. We do good things because that's the kind of people we are. We show self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self-esteem.

"A pro mise must never be broken."- Alexander Hamilton This quote is saying that a promise should never be broken. If you promise something to someone and you te ll them that you will keep it, and then you end up breaking it that is bad because it shows that you can’t be trusted. Promise is important because it is like showing someone they can trust you and have someone by your side. If you tell your mom that you promise you will put up your grades you have to keep that promise because then she won’t be happy with you. Promises are meant to be kept, if you break them you are not someone to be trusted. Its like if I tell you to do something for me to help me and you just say no, its like I can't be comfortable with you. If someone tells you a secret and they tell you to promise them you will not say anything, and then you end up telling their secret they will not trust you anymore because you didn’t keep your promise. " My basic principle is that you don't make decisions because they are easy; you don't make them because they are cheap; you don't make them because they're popular; you make them because they're right."- Theodore Hesburgh This quote means that  doing the right think can be difficult at times. And in order for us to do the right thing we shouldn't care what other think, if they are against it then that's on them. People who do these kind of things will have great things in life for them. For example my teacher showed us a video about a cowboy saving someone today. The cowboy was just wondering in his horse when he heard someone screaming for help. He looked everywhere and when he found her she said the man steal her bike. He ran after him and he had a roped with him and he made a circular movement and caught the guy. This is an example of doing the right thing because you decided to help. Doing the right thing will be better to do.

"Character is higher than intellect."- Ralph Waldo Emerson Having a good character is higher than intellect because you can be the smartest person in the world but you can also be the rudest person in the world. So when you actually need someone to help you with your intelligence you will not be able to help yourself you might need someone but you can do it by your self too and if you are a snob then no one will want to be your friend and no one will help you. Character is the mental and moral  qualities   distinctive  to an individual. When you have good  qualities  not only everyone wants to be your friend  but you feels good about yourself and will get more respect from people around you. So character is being who you are as a person and what you are willingly do for others. It will determine who you are.

" I trust that my hard work will pay off." - Tyler Haws This quote means that the s tatement tells us to trust our instinct. And trust what your gut tells you to do. For example if you want to be the most educated person in the world then you got to work for it.  You can do anything you want as long as you work hard to achieve your goal. Or if you want to be the most talented person in a sport then work hard. Tyler Haws worked hard to make the most basketball hoops that anyone has made during a game. He achieved it by working hard for it and practicing every single day for 2 hours. So if you want to achieve a goal you will have to work hard for it. And, remember that your hard work will pay off. And if others tell you it is impossible then don't focus on what others think focus on achieving your goal. That is the main goal. The quote is simply telling us that we just need to work hard everyday to reach our goal.

" True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what's right."- Brigham Young This quote means that doing what's right will get you more freedom then choosing the wrong. When you do  more good things and being honest you'll have more opportunities than a person who isn't being honest. Being independence will get you to places. Its better to have independence and freedom than not having it.  It will make your life more easier than before. My teacher was talking about a university that has these kind of codes like always being honest, never do drugs, and etc. That these codes will get you in life and make it way easier. Brigham Young was saying that to have independence and freedom is better than not having it.

"They're only truly great who are truly good."- George Chapman  This quote means that when you do good things in life you will be great. Choosing CTR will help you with life and to not make bad choices. This quote stated by the poet George Chapman is truthful in the sense that what he is saying is believable. If you are not truly good, then it seems as you are not truly great. First, you have to be good before you can be great. An example of this is when you are playing a sport. First you may be bad at it, but then you will get better and be good, and over time you will become great. This quote can be said for almost every single activity. Practice is what makes you great. Great makes you good and that is the greatest gift of all time. Doing good then doing bad. Good will take you to places you never been before and bad will make your life miserable.

"I won't cheat"-Dale Murphy What this quote means is that if you cheat you are living the CTW way because cheating is Wrong. Dale Murphy states that he will not support cheating because he believes it is wrong and people shouldn't do it because it gives them an unneeded growth enhancement that boosts what they think is their self growth by being better, but in reality they are cheating. Dale Murphy just basically says that cheating is bad and he would never do it because he doesn’t need it because it’s cheating and cheating is bad and that would be wrong of him to do. Dale Murphy will not use enhancement drugs to perform because he can do it just as easily by practicing and doing it the CTR way instead of the CTW way. So, Dale Murphy set up a program where student athletes promise not to be cheaters in order to get free stuff and go to seminars. It is a really good promoter but you know people can lie to you very easily and that results in just plain looking dumb...

"Character matters most"- Dale Murphy This quote is saying that you should care more about your character, Either if you choosing the right or if you choosing the wrong. It depends on you to choose how your character is going to be. Don’t let others decide on how your character is going to be. I suggest choosing the right because you will succeed in life. If you choosing the wrong you will face consequences in life or make your life a living hell. You will ruin your reputation and people will judge you for what you did. For example our teacher showed us a baseball player had good character because he was honest and didn't cheat. A baseball team did not had a good character, they were liars and cheaters, and they kicked out. This is why we need to choose the right and have good character.

"Great beauty, great strength, and great riches are really and truly of no great use; a right heart exceeds all."- Benjamin Franklin  What this quote is trying to say is that even though you might have great material stuff, beauty, and strength that's not going to help you lead a life where you do the right thing. Many football players can have great strength and riches but also be doing horrible stuff or not good at the sport. This is why we need to achieve a right heart by doing the right thing in order to live a good and right life. Because if we don't we might not be living a good life.

"Ask yourself is it right or wrong and act accordingly."- Otto Graham, Jr. This quote means that we as a person either to right or wrong. I  think that this quote means that if you think before you doing it what your about to do their might be good or bad consequences. Well, First of all you should always ask and think before you are actually about to do something. For example, If your friends want you to do something that you don't feel comfortable with. Then don't do it its that simple. Don't wait for the last minute because it might end up being to late. If you don't feel comfortable but your friends tell you its okay just walk away or tell them you know what I have to go. If they start calling you names then that's how you know they are not actually your friends. "Act well your part; there all honor lies."- Alexander Pope This quote means that you have to act good to experience the good things in life. So to have " there all honor lies" just be honest and good things will come there way. For example my teacher showed me a video about the little leagues and how they were so good that they were champions of the USA and were second place international and that they got to meet Obama. That was all good experience but then we found out that they put players that were not supposed to be there. Now when that got out they lost everything. Now this is what's call not doing your part since you lied.

" Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for 'tis better to be alone than in bad company."- George Washington This quote means that the people that your surrounded with are the ones who is either going to make you a better person or not care or help you.  When your with good people they tend to make you a better person and not choose the wrong. You want to hang out with those people than people who make wrong decision in your life that will cause damage to yourself.  I personally started hanging with those type of kids when I was younger. I didn't know it back then but now I hang with friends that are good. And I want to help others and do what's right. Later on in life those bad people wont be in you life anymore, your going to start hanging with different type of crowds but when you pick one, pick one that is choosing the right. "Right is right only when entire."- victor Hugo This quote means that to tell the whole truth you have to be entirely honest and you cant just tell half of the truth that makes you a liar. For example when you do a test and you cheated in just one question that just basically makes you a cheater for the rest or people will think you cheated in all your answers. But if you did the whole test without cheating you are telling the truth.  Don't just say half the truth start saying the whole truth because you don't want to be sad that you didn't get to. Our teacher showed us a video about Donald trump saying he never drank in his life  and the only reason why he doesn't is because of his brother and how he was which was a alcoholic. So this quote that Victor Hugo said is saying that just because you didn't tell the whole truth doesn't mean you did. Say the whole truth it will be easier in life.

" If you do what's right, if you live the right way, you'll be taken care of."- Rachel Castillo This quote means that by doing good your taken care of. This women found 36k money in a bag and you know she could've token it for herself but she didn't she called the police and they handle it from there. Doing it isn't always easy but its actually a good thing. You will feel it when you help someone and they way you feel is happy. If you do what's right thinks will be taken care of. You know you learn when your a child to never steal or something bad is going to happen. When people say that I think that when they say "something bad" I feel like there saying that there going to repeat since you did once and you'll continue again. So do good in life and life will do good to you.
