"Goodness is the only investment that never fails."- Henry David Thoreau This quote is saying that Henry Thoreau, the best investment you can do for yourself is goodness. If your doing good than you wouldn’t have to be worrying about anything else. If you ever do, you would have to be feeling sorry for yourself or being self conscious about doing something good. Investing all your time in doing something good for your benefit is the best investment you can do for yourself. Not only because it will never fail but you’ll never regret doing it. Also by doing good, none of your privileges get taken away. Which gives you freedom and you would have to be wasting your time fixing all the bad things you did. Even if you do something bad you shouldn't feel bad just make it up or fix it. It will take time but its better than not doing something.

" True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what's right."- Brigham Young This quote means that doing what's right will get you more freedom then choosing the wrong. When you do  more good things and being honest you'll have more opportunities than a person who isn't being honest. Being independence will get you to places. Its better to have independence and freedom than not having it.  It will make your life more easier than before. My teacher was talking about a university that has these kind of codes like always being honest, never do drugs, and etc. That these codes will get you in life and make it way easier. Brigham Young was saying that to have independence and freedom is better than not having it.
