Having a good character is higher than intellect because you can be the smartest person in the world but you can also be the rudest person in the world. So when you actually need someone to help you with your intelligence you will not be able to help yourself you might need someone but you can do it by your self too and if you are a snob then no one will want to be your friend and no one will help you. Character is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual. When you have good qualities not only everyone wants to be your friend but you feels good about yourself and will get more respect from people around you. So character is being who you are as a person and what you are willingly do for others. It will determine who you are.
