This quote means that good will come your way if we do simple things which is always tell the truth and apologize after. We have to continue working for ourselves and do what's right. We all can't get what we want but it does not mean we don't continue working for it. Dr. Randy said that he wanted to work at Disney land for a engineering part but he got a rejection letter but that didn't stop him from working it just made him work even harder and later on he got the job. Its all about dedication if you want something get it.
