What this quote means is that every bit of kindness can make a big change later on. That being kind is something to do in life where you can start brand new. I also think its trying to say that kindness is greatness. You should be a good person to start being a essence of greatness. For example my teacher just showed us a video about act of kindness and I saw one that surprised me which was when a mom was about to pay for her products her card said it denied or expired so the person behind her saw that she had no money so he helped her by paying for her products.
